So I finally got NGHL to work with my opposing force. Well for the most part. I was doing a run and I got to the electrical fence skip in the first chapter. When I hopped over the fence and went to grab the armor/health it wasnt there. Then I went further to just to check. The shotgun was not on the grunts body and the alien slave wasnt there. Can someone shed some light on this??
Try entering ‘deathmatch 0’ in the console then reloading the map.
I tried that and the hp/armor is not there. Its going through all the loading points like a multiplayer server changes maps.

How do I get NGHL HL to launch? It won’t launch when I launch it, even when I just launch hl.exe instead…
With typing “map of1a1” into console. If thats what you mean by starting my run.
If it crashes on launch and you’re on windows 7+, try adding hl.exe to DEP exceptions. (Data Execution Prevention)
Check the liblist.gam in the gearbox folder and change type to singleplayer_only, or however that’s called (there should be an example in liblist.gam in the valve folder).
I did that and saved it then got an error msg saying access is denied.
{EDIT}: I got the singleplayer_only into the file now. I tried again and its still not spawning.
Oh, you probably have it installed in program files, on windows 7+. Shouldn’t be a problem, but you can try setting permissions to your account for read/write into the Half-Life folder, or moving it into some other directory like C:\Games\

i have tried added it and removing it from DEP…, the .exe
I can’t get my FPS on NGHL to go above 60. fps_max 1000 and developer 2.
This isn’t way too much of an issue, except it kinda messes with my mouse sensitivity and scripts.
Do you have vsync enabled?
Not as far as I know, I looked in my settings and didn’t see it there.
If you have NVidia, go into your NVidia Control Panel, then to Manage 3D Settings, click the Add button, choose Half-Life Launcher, scroll down to Vertical sync and switch it off. Just note that if you change anything it makes selects the first application in the list for some reason, and you need to select whatever you need there again.
