Problem solved, thanks a lot

Hello again, i have a annoying problem with goldSrc… the fps is inconsistent and bhops, smooth turning are really hard to do with 30-110 fps that is dipping…

Does anyone have Opposing Force and Blue Shift for The WON version of half-life available for download?

IIRC, this should be what you’re looking for:

^^ Thanks!

No worries, mate.

My opposing force crashes when I load a map >.> Its the WON version running Protocol 43

I had that problem for a while too. Are you launching it a special way with extra target settings?

Only -windowed -console

Check if your op4’s foldername is really “gearbox” and not “op4” or “opposingforce”

It’s gearbox

I believe that is essentially the equivalent to a loading screen, so no, I don’t think there is a ‘fix’ to it.

damn, well there goes my run (or what I had done of it)

Why?

because I cant really render it properly without the console popping up every segment. even with editing

What program are you using to capture your demos? If you use HLAE, you shouldn’t have a problem with the loading screen, at least I don’t think you should.

I could be wrong, there may be a way to remove that screen, but as far as I’m aware you shouldn’t need to.

Also, I’m not 100% sure you can do this (someone correct me if I’m wrong), but I think you can view WON demos in the Steam version, it’s at least worth a try. That way you shouldn’t have a problem whatsoever.

well I tried to use steam, Nope. NGHL, Nope, Hale does this,

What are you using to capture?

Well, i’ve tried fraps, but I dont think anything else would have different results because the console is (by my knowlage) something you cant remove

Most runners use HLAE to capture their runs. Instead of capturing video, it creates an image for every frame you capture, which you can then import into programs such as VirtualDub or Sony Vegas. The capturing/recording process is significantly longer than Fraps so you’ll need to be patient, but it’s a more convenient method of recording runs and longer videos and you don’t get frame loss.

I can’t guarantee that it will solve your console problem, but it’s worth a try.
