oh thanks yalter, that fixed it
Hello everyone. I’m not sure if this question has been answered or not but I can’t get Bunnymod Pro and NGHL to work at the same time yet I hear people talking about it all the time. Do I place them inside each other? Both in the Half-Life folder? I have no clue what to do.
Think of it this way -
NGHL is one version of HL, Bunnymod Pro is another version of HL. It treats it as another game entirely, so its not possible to have them both on at the same time.
Besides NGHL has Bunnymod 4.2 pre-installed. Bunnymod Pro is like an expansion to it. Just pick which one you want to use to run with. I like using Bunnymod Pro for when I want to try to practice/recreate certain scenarios, and NGHL for runs.
Does this help?
You’re using the word “version” too loosely here. Bunnymod Pro is a modification that works under a range of HL builds. It is not a separate HL version or build.
I think that by “NGHL” they mean Rofi’s Client DLL, which is installed (ticked) by default. You cannot have both RCD and Bunnymod Pro’s client DLL installed at the same time. However Bunnymod Pro’s client DLL contains almost every speedrunning-related feature of RCD. What do you want to use from RCD which is not in Bunnymod Pro?
Scripts do not work for me in Bunnymod Pro but they work in NGHL. BMP says the special command is not there but it works in NGHL. I really want to use Bunnymod Pro for future projects but I plan to use scripts.
If you’re using Bunnymod Pro on Steam, the _special command doesn’t exist. It’ll only work if you use it with NGHL.
But how do I do that?
Copy the files from Bunnymod Pro (hlspbunny folder) to your NGHL directory (usually something like Program Files (x86)/Half-Life, it’s basically wherever you installed your NGHL to).
Done.
I shall try this. Thank you.
So… I cant jump from the control panel to the hev suit and back. If I activate the chamber I most likely get blocked by the panel and I cant never figure out how to jump back regardless of how much I practice.
With the keyboard layout and a bit more practice should help.
It’s clear from the beginning of the video that you’re not confident with the movement of the game yet, so naturally you’ll struggle with stuff like this at first, don’t worry.
The jump back to the panel from the HEV suit chamber is a simple crouch-jump that can be executed by pre-strafing (holding W/forward + a strafe key) and then jumping and crouching together to get extra distance.
In the video you fall off of the platform, so you just need to work on your timing.
As with everything, practice makes perfect, so just continue to grind this jump until you can do it 10 times in a row or something.
Don’t make new threads for stuff like this… Did you not see the stickied helpdesk thread saying “ask questions here”?
Locked.
I realise that the thread is now locked, sorry for posting, but I feel like this question hasn’t been properly answered.
You are probably hitting the glass just above your head which blocks your jump. Try to jump just a bit later than you’re doing it now, that should work. And yes, with enough practice you’ll eventually get it.
One door piece is opening slower than other. Someone faced with this problem before?
Hey
I’m trying to do the speed boost when running against a wall, but for some reasons it’s not working anymore, it used to work until now. It’s only working if i run backward, if i try in the other direction i have to face the wall almost 90 degrees before reaching the max speed. I don’t really know what is wrong and if anyones know i’ll be happy if you could help me fix it.
Edit :
The client is NGHL
You sure you’re pressing strafe-into-the-wall button?
I’m pressing w+d or w+a but it’s only working with s+a or s+d, i don’t know if this is what you meant with strafe into Wall. I always do it this way but it’s just not working anymore I really don’t know what is wrong
Sky, Check your cl_sidespeed, cl_forwardspeed and cl_backspeed. Set all to 400.
Zezima, It’s always been that way : >
