Does the Manhack skip only work with old engine?

You have to grab a prop as you move over it and when it pops up it pulls you up with it. I think if you spam it you can amplify the effect or something. Anyone know how I can run this in a borderless window? Adding -noborder to the .bat file doesn’t seem to help.

You’d need to get a prop from someplace, then carry it all the way to coast_09 whilst staying under 1000ups. I think in the long run, following the road is quicker

Fair enough, the reverse engineering and stuff does look pretty complicated (to me, though I know nothing about that to be fair), so I can understand if you don’t want to spend EVEN MORE time working on it :slight_smile: The important thing is we’ll have it for the actual run I guess. :stuck_out_tongue:

Has anyone tried skipping any more of Route Kanal/Water Hazard using triggerdelay and save buffering? I feel like time could be saved there by skipping some maps entirely, even though it could only really be used on maps where the beginning and end are close together.

Also, if we’re going boatless, how are we going to handle waste tunnel? After all, sharking isn’t an option and we couldn’t get enough speed easily anyway.

There’s a bunch of boxes on the road in coast_09 so you could shoot one with the shotgun and grab a piece of wood while bunnyhopping without stopping.

The only way I can think of would be to somehow fly through the entire waste tunnel. You have to do a moderately sharp turn and there’s also not a lot of space to work with so I don’t know if that’s possible. I wouldn’t be too sure whether a full boatless in OE would even save time over airboating since the airboat travels at about 1000 ups.

Flying through waste tunnel is really slow. In the end it would probably be a better idea to take the airboat all the way to canals_11 and ditch it and skip the cutscene, and that wouldn’t even save much time in the end.

Going on foot saves like 3 minutes over airboating even if you fly through the waste tunnel slowly, and thats with phase 1-ish route.

Turreu’s canals run was about 4:19 faster than the airboating in Dwahmov so I’m kinda sceptical about that estimate.

Are there no spots for a possible OoB? Or are we just trying to use that sparingly for the run?

I don’t know why we’d use it sparingly if we’re going for sub-1 hour…

If not and someone’s up for making one, I don’t think you need to include materials, models, or sounds since I THINK they’re the same as the ones in new engine and they should work back and forth
