It’s been a long wait, 5 years to be precise, but it’s finally here;
Presenting Half Life 2: Episode Two Done Quick in 30:36.705
Development of the run started immediately after SourceRuns released Episode One speedrun back in 2010, a small group of runners started routing Episode Two’s maps and eventually doing segments. The run has been in progress for a very long time, lots of game-breaking tricks were discovered that forced the run to be restarted 3 times until being finally finished, saving more than 6 minutes from previous time estimates.
Completed on the initial Orange Box release, Engine 14; Protocol 4104 of EP2 in 441 segments (out of which 194 are save/load segments) by:
Jukspa, Matmo, Elgu, S., BitRain, Blizik, Valvinraim and Eidgod

You guys have just raised the bar, by far best speedrun I think I have seen, ever.

Just watched the run. It was one of the best speed runs I watched in quite a while. One of my favorite parts was when they went from the very beginning all the way to Pointiflex in about a minute and a half.
Damn, I’ve been waiting for this for ages. Congrats to all the runners on your hard work, I really enjoyed watching this speedrun, one of the best I have seen in a long time.
This was the most stupidly incredible thing I’ve ever seen. Every second of it except the one big unskippable cutscene was absolutely insane. I’m downloading the high quality commentary version right now. And I agree, the ending was brilliant, especially since I’m pretty sure Jukspa or someone else said before that it wouldn’t be possible to fit it in.
I actually feel like I can’t watch any video ever again because it wouldn’t compete with this in terms of entertainment.
First 9 minutes is just golden. Favorite things was the OoB movement. The amount of time spent on maxvelocity. The ABH zig zags that starts off with the in-air box stucklaunch. The grenade triggered strider kill.
Criticism; the name HUD isn’t level with the other elements, a big thorn in my eyes.
UHM… WELL… IT ISN’T EVEN THE SAME FONT AND THE COLOR AND BRIGHTNESS OF THE NAME TAGS IS NOT AFFECTED BY THE GAME LIKE THE REST OF THE HUD! WHAT DO YOU SAY ABOUT THAT? :‘( :’( :‘( :’(
