hunter_shoot_flechette is awesome. But again, is using console commands in speed runes fine?In a HL2 mod called rock 24, impulse 101, noclip and buddha are not cheat protected. But does that allow me to use them? I don’t know…
Something strange has came up when i was recording right now. These are 2 demos i recorded of the spot im working on. Check this:Completed demo, recording time 5.9, game frames 407.Completed demo, recording time 5.7, game frames 408.Ummm. Wtf? Im gonna go with the second one, just because it says its less time. Somehow, it record more frames, though. Thats confusing. Any ideas why that happened?
Yeah I get that point, but does that mean using noclip is legal? Apparently so
mat_fullbright 1 is not cheat protected. @Pincus: noclip is cheat protected. They consider the command sv_cheats 1 illegal, so thats why you cant use it.I got 02 done. That was quite fast, or at least much faster than I expected. Good job man, can’t wait to see more.
I’m talking about a MOD for HL2. Lots of the normal sv_cheat protected commands weren’t.Commands like noclip, impulse, god. So my point is, what is stopping me fron noclipping through the game?I also think set_pos isn’t sv_cheat protected. I could just create binds to send me to the next level trigger brush. The run would take like 10 seconds.
I’m just bringing this up because quite a few people who watched HL2: DQ kinda ignored it because we used AHK.
QUOTE (nullsquared @ Oct 30 2007, 09:23 PM)Actually, it’s called AHD IIRC. No scripting. Forward, jump, turn around, crouch and keep jumping. What does AHD IIRC means?
Ive got some HUGE glaring questions about the hunter_shoot_flechette, so i need you’re guys opinion on it. All of the hunter commands seem to be not cheat protected, which that list includes how much damage the flechette’s and their explosions do, the radius of the explosion, the speed of the flechettes and their explosions, and a bunch of other useful commands to modify them. I can just set the damage of a flechette to 10000 (or some other ridiculous number) and instantly kill the Antlion guards, but do you think this going to far? It basically gives me an infinite weapon with unlimited power… so should i use this? People will definitely think its cheating.
Yeah it’s probably too cheap, but soooo cool
Speaking of sv_cheats:http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-75…855580#1h29m29sIs that the Alyxgun?
^Yup, that’s the alyxgun, it’s orginally from HL2Beta, but they forgot to delete it in this final version, that’s why you can use it.
