I finally got a response from valve, completely generic. It did infact tell me to uninstall video codecs temporarly. I can’t becuz I’m on an iPhone, have you tried this yet, Dale?

I honestly have no idea. :huh: I’m gonna try to reply to the ticket saying none of those worked and that it’s an engine problem.

How did he get it? Just get a older crack or some way of degrading the game through steam manually.

I’ll have a small look. I think I saw somewhere you can “back”-date source games so I’ll have a quick look for that before I start considering piracy. <<EDIT: Must have been my imagination. Torrent seems like a good idea though. No one will have wanted to make a crack after the Orange Bawks release so we have a fairly good chance if we can find a good crack of it being able to demo record. Then again valve could just fix it. <<
I’m sure they’ll get to it by the time EP3 is out.
