Ya, I think you said the order in which you extract the various folders from gcf-files was important. However, I remember I tried it with these instructions and it still didn’t work. But since you said yours was in fact working I think it’s best if you just upload your folder.

Set it on auto connect. Then you just have to run irc.
I’ve been on Espernet lately, can you set mIRC to auto connect to 2 servers (in different tabs?)

You can, with scripts. Or you can download a client such as nbs, that kinda patches mIRC to make things a lot easier. For instance multiple auto connects.
