It happened. coolkid found a early really neat trick in the room with three scientists and a window into testchamber. So we redid segment 8 and did an extra segment between 8 and 9.
Saving: 2.88s over our old style. and 3.49s over spider-waffles old run.
I could merge it together with the old segments really good with the position and viewangle features.
Can you upload this trick on YT? I’m curious

Have you found a method for skipping the speech trigger and then make a scientist follow you into the trigger that open the door?
In c2a5f, are you going to increase FPS to get tonnes of health from the door and open it by doing the hgrunt trick?

So, do you like share the demo segments? Because segmented speedrun looks kinda hard to me especially when you have other speed runners on different parts.
I think they share on a dropbox the saves for each segment. For example: one guy (e.g.: pineapple) downloads the save for c2a2 and makes a shitload of demos until he’s satisfied with the result and then he uploads the final demo and the final save to the dropbox, then some other guy (e.g.: coolkid) downloads pineapple’s save for c2a2a to record his demo for the next segment, and so on. It’s just a theory. Let’s wait for quadrazid or someone else to explain.

Dropbox is very convenient.
This way, everyone can grab the demo for judgement and also the save, so everyone can grind the segment out. If someone gets it, demo + save go into dropbox for judgement and then the process starts over.
Dropbox in combination with Google Docs is a very lethal combination!
I think HL24 does the same thing.
Yes, we use dropbox. It’s perfect for projects like this. Using it as Arianon and S. described. Having folders for demos/saves/routes/cfg/misc/…

This is great, but I don’t contemplate any reason for the grenade boost. I mean, you take the damage from the grenade and health matters at some stage in the levels where you’ve got to do complicated tricks especially for the 24 minute speedrun 
I’m not trying to argue but in the end, good trick…
I’m pretty sure that nade isn’t used for boosting at all, but rather for scaring the scientist.
But obviously whoever was running took damage from it.
