Half-Life segmented in 20 minutes 41 seconds

I remember when I used to play XDM I had a friend who legit didn’t believe me when I told him that half-life got finished in half an hour, I wonder if he’ll believe that there’s a 20 minute one now lol…

My one question for now is on the topic of the commentary video; will it be in somewhat the same format as the DWaHMoV commentary? Or will it actually slow down/stop the video occasionally to go into detail about what is happening?

I’m assuming it will be somewhat similar to the Opposing Force commentary, where some parts are slowed down and a few extra bits and bobs are added such as viewing triggers in the map editor etc.

Exactly. Not sure when or even if I can make such commentary. Depending on my job situation, I might be able to do it during this summer. I just changed job and besides that I’m focusing more on sports. When time lacks, my speedrun activity lacks. That’s why I have no commentary ready by now.

One thing I thought that was absolutely badass about this was keeping the soundtrack in, since there’s music playing throughout pretty much the whole run, totally enhances the experience of watching, at least for me anyways

Glad you like it. Most of the tracks are also timed for certain events. And since its short it’s music pretty much all the time. Had to cut out some songs. One (two) of the cut outs were used in the outro as compensation though.

It seems that YouTube version was rendered @ 30 fps. It’s better to upload 60 fps version and let YT convert it for more smoothness.

What projects do you have going?

Can probably put together the bloopers during the week. Some pretty crazy stuff.
The planning tab have been added to the main HL21 sheet.

The HLAE updates are now in the official version.
The VDub job generator was built for HLAE recordings with separated HUD stream. Can’t say if it will work in other cases, depending on the filenames.

I think it was Media Player Classic with the default theme (the one from K-Lite Codec Pack (which I and probably many others use) has a very nice-looking theme).
