haha i love the part when you jump off of the ichthyosaur
amazing bravo bravo this is now the world record congrats
Lost for words, amazing run, in fact this is THE best speedrun I’ve ever watched.
I look forward to seeing/hearing the commentary!
Awesome stuff! Makes me want to finish my runs…
It seems that YouTube version was rendered @ 30 fps. It’s better to upload 60 fps version and let YT convert it for more smoothness.
I thought no matter what FPS you uploaded at, YouTube converted it to 30FPS anyway?
Yes, but letting YT convert it will still make it a little bit smoother. That’s what I’ve noticed with my videos.
Released on the weekend so everyone can watch it.
At work this Sunday and can’t watch it.

These next five hours shall seem like forever. Incredibly excited to watch this!
I have no words…
That was beautiful, and can we get an ETA on when the explanation video coming?
Beatiful. Truly a work of art.
I’m glad to say that, after a few watches, there were only a handful of times where I thought “what? how did he do that / what just happened?”, and 99% of the run I was able to truly appreciate for what exactly was happening (I assume my few confusions will be cleared up in the explanation video anyway). I really enjoyed the prevalence and creativeness of object boosting throughout the run, that was something that I hoped would be improved from Half Hour Half Life. For some reason one of the parts of this run that really stuck with me was during Apprehension, when you shot the nade to scare the slave into the door, I noticed you were briefly traveling at around the same speed as the nade was.
My one question for now is on the topic of the commentary video; will it be in somewhat the same format as the DWaHMoV commentary? Or will it actually slow down/stop the video occasionally to go into detail about what is happening?
Once again, fantastic job and great work to all who helped create on of the greatest speedruns of all time.
I’m assuming it will be somewhat similar to the Opposing Force commentary, where some parts are slowed down and a few extra bits and bobs are added such as viewing triggers in the map editor etc.
That was beautiful! The speedrun to rule all of the speedruns!
(Also thx for mentioning my name at the end
)
Oh god, this was so good I’ll be rewatching this a few more times over the next few days (and will probably connect an old CRT just to see the 120 Hz version at some point). I’m continually amazed by the ingenuity and creativity poured into this run. Nine minutes over HHHL, just how incredible an achievement that is! You guys are the best!
And I almost shed some tears upon seeing my name in the credits, even though I barely did anything to make it happen. Thank you so much!
Congratulations to all involved. That was amazing.
Looking forward to the commentary so I can figure out what the hell happened in half of that!
One thing I thought that was absolutely badass about this was keeping the soundtrack in, since there’s music playing throughout pretty much the whole run, totally enhances the experience of watching, at least for me anyways
HOLY S*** GUYS! THIS IS THE BEST!
40 kb/s. Thank you hotels Wifi.

Managed to buffer the video on youtube though, this is truly amazing. Looking forward to the explanation video.
Pretty sure I’ll be getting even more fun out of the making-of video. I know a fair bit about the game, and I swear I couldn’t comprehend a ton of what was happening–everything went way too fast! The little details I could catch amused me to no end though, like pre-rotation of scientists and using snarks as sloped surfaces for horizontal boosts.
No, I compared qualities for this on some other video.
OMG cheatz hax etc ! guys you have blown my mind with this video
Watching this on youtube while hungover was not a smart move, literally made me throw up lol
Awesome run, looking forward to the explanation video so I can understand whats going on
