I don’t see another great runner in the run: Zhouy
Take a joke Kaito. :C
Thanks for the correction, S.
Yeah, I’m definite that I can do the segment much better than that. I lose time from lowering the frame rate, bad accel jump and waiting too long. Other than that, I guess my movement after nades can be improved as well.
So if you get a consistent way for the second nade. It should be possible to put it down while starting some bhops - rail, zombie, stair, then probably good timing for the door opening.
Save can be made asap when the door open.
Can lower the fps when you walk by him, should make him turn around and follow quicker.
New alias for duckroll. Lowering sens to 1/3 on the crouching frames for improved strafing. And normal+2/3 on the standing ones for simulating the normal sens.
My normal sensitivity being 2.5
A quick time history of C1A2:
think-circle 55.9
Dopefish 55.1
RandomEngy 46.5
quadrazid SS 32.7
Spider-Waffle 29.66
New 14.59
What about Zhouy? Why he didn’t join the run?
He wouldn’t be able to compete unfortunately. Besides, he stopped playing years ago.
REngy’s run is the best for me^^
One does not simply stop playing half-life
Hows my new demo, quad? Sadly I wasn’t able to do any prebhop since barney gets to the door pretty quickly. Maybe if I throw the 2nd grenade from another spot, I can do a nice prebhop with fine timing.
Looks really good, especially the second one. But it’s still about .5s slower than spiders route demo. I think it’s about the second grenade, maybe possible to drop it a little bit earlier and get more flow to his running. But it’s easily the best demo yet. And that kind of exit speed is just fine.
Good news,
Haven’t understood until now why sometimes I’ve been able to exeed the maxvelocity speed 2000 units per second.
So the velocity is only limited on the XYZ axis, that means with an angle you’re able to pass the maxvelocity. So for the horizontal plane the rule looks like this
x<2000, y<2000
max v=√xv²+yv²
With an angle of 45* you’re able to move at 2828ups! Mostly talking about objectboosts which is the most usual trick to get that fast. It applies to the z-axis too ofc, but its mostly not that relevant. Soon we have a angle-indicator HUD so we’ll be able to calculate exactly what is possible and whats not.
I love how intricate this game is.
HL1=view angles
HL2=randomness and luck
Grenade-boost at Blast Pit (Save about 5-6 seconds)
Maybe could be useful
We will fall down the elevator shaft, landing on the sloped wire to get a 780+ boost.
Then we will make a rampjump on the button at the place you did the grenadeboost, around 840+ at that moment. So we’ll fly all the way to the ladders without any healthloss.
We found out that with 70fps, in some rare cases you can make rampjumps without loosing any horizontal speed at all, while still getting the same height. So this will be very useful at that button if we cant get decent boost off wire.
Impressive! :o never thought about a rampjump there
I knew about a nade jump over there all the time, but I was pretty sure you wouldn’t have enough health for that since you do 2 grenade jumps during blast pit (or do you have a new route?)
Make it 3
New triggerdelay objectboost rampjump trick on Blast Pit. Will save up to 5 seconds.
E: Additional route change and extra speed will save another 2s+1s, up to 8s in total. Think I gotta change the title to HL 23 : >
