Dear Esther

#1

This new game (supposed to be a mod) with Source Engine is going to be released soon (Valentine’s day to be exact). Looks good, and the prices are low. Should we try running it when it’s released? Looks like it will have Portal 2 Engine, so there won’t be ABH, only that classic bhop thing. What do you think about it?

The prices are:
US - $9.99
UK - £6.99
Europe €7.99
Russia - 249RU
CIS - $7.99
EU Zone 2 - €6.99

Can’t wait! Definitely buying on launch! :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks interesting. I might think about getting this. I pwn at Portal 2’s bhop so that sure sounds interesting too.

#3

Looks like it’s going to be some kind of explorer, so might be that we will have to do a SS

#4

So is this worth speedrunning? I heard there’s no bunnyhopping. (No jumping at all)

Might still get it when it’s on sale or something, looks interesting.

#5

Dear Esther is more like a virtual book, not a game. Can you speedrun books? I dont think so. Unless you want to hold W for a hour and call it a speedrun. Anyway, I think you could find some skips in this book. And yes, there is no jumping. Only slow walking.

#6

Oh I speedran LOTS of books :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t worry about that.

#7

It is a good game, but you can’t really speedrun it

#8

I’d even go so far as to say it’s a breathtaking game. Those caves were fucking incredible.

But yeah, not really a game for speedrunning.

#9

This can be only done in one way. Dear Esther: BunnyMod.

But seriously, would be nice if someone would get abhing to work in that game

#10

Now, about that bunnymod
