Any progress made on discovering new tricks or should we optimize dalelewill’s route?

We can’t use Dale’s route because we need the mortar for citadel_05. We need to do the nadejump at the beginning, then optimize the rest. I ran this map a bunch last night and might have some time tonight to do it as well. Is anyone else even attempting it?

I was running this map 2 days ago - but that first grenade jump seems too hard…If you could just upload a demo of that part then I could try again (not that I’m that fast :stuck_out_tongue: )

What is the mortar used for other than this? I’ve tried the grenade jump but it doesn’t work well. It always goes off too soon even if i throw it then charge for only a second.

I said it three times already! CITADEL_05!! We’re launching into one of the far coffins to save some time. We need the height + distance, and the nades don’t give much height, while rockets take way too much of your health.It’s possible to charge to 200/100, and still make the jump and land at late 8s, which is roughly the time Dale got to the other side with his mortar jump. It’s just a lot harder. Next time I get one I’ll post the demo.

I hate those fences.Also, you don’t need to jump on that fence for it to work, and you’re able to have all 200 armor also. The trick is just not to jump too early, or it will boost you mostly forwards instead of up, and you’ll have a hard time turning because you’re going forward fast.Even though I first made the nadejump sprintjumping (not this demo), I’m not sure that’s always the best idea. If you’ve got the perfect angle then sure, but most times it just ends up throwing you forward so fast that you can’t turn midair at all.

I’ve been messing around with this map for some time now, I also started trying the nade jump. My method was that while charging: I drop a nade at my feet - then when I’m charged up I grab the nade and start jumping towards the fence - then I throw it downwards before I reach the fence…bare in mind that I never made it to the other side… <_< I’ll try that method aswell MaximusX…

Got 29s with a nadejump, but it’s not really that good. I’ll keep it for now but I’ll see if I can improve. I hate getting stuck on everything in this map ;/By the way, standing on the railing, jumping forward right as the nade goes off (not before) WITHOUT sprinting, strafing and turning into the turn, then ducking at the end, makes the nadejump MUCH easier.

I got a 32s with a nadejump, but now I’ll go to sleep…I might try some tomorrow if I find time.

The demo was alright I think, I guess it can be improved by 2 seconds or so but overall it was ok.What do you others think, stay and fight or move on?

The demo was pretty good and if suga still doesn’t want to try to improve by the time he reads this, and I don’t improve it by sometime tonight (won’t be working on it the whole time though), then we’ll move on.I probably should have said this before by the way, but the way to cleanly bhop through the second forcefield everytime is to grab the ball and NOT shoot it away until it’s pretty close to you. If you fire it somewhere else right away, it will push you back.
