Hmm, I disagree. What I was doing last night was running into the giant metal missiles after the mortarjump, then sprint + duckjumping over the gate. 10-11s is possible with this route, and I think we can make it through the gunfire in c17_12 without getting hit, just with a little more work.

ok, then let’s use your method.we still can go back to this map if we find it’s impossible to get past the guards without being hit :slight_smile:

I tried in vain for 10s, it’s possible but you need to get perfect everything pretty much ;/We’ll call this 11s in the demo and thread, but in the list of map times I think it should be 12s (one segment), because the _3.dem isn’t exactly an extra segment in the traditional sense, but is still an extra second. If there wasn’t an enormously ridiculous loading time, that initial guard and door would not be a problem at all.As far as I know, nobody else is running this, as suga said he wants a break after last map. This is pretty close to perfect anyway, so I guess I’ll give it tonight before I start the new thread.

So yeah, does anybody know how to turn down graphics in HL2 so low that it looks like a cartoon? For some reason I have all settings on low and my computer STILL runs so slow on c17_12a that I can’t even gain an ounce of speed bhopping.What’s weird is, I don’t remember having this problem when I played it normally.

Use DX7, it gave me like 20 frames better than DX9 but there is serious graphic downgrade. Like objects won’t appear until you are 10 feet in front of them, but it doesn’t matter if you have a map memorized from running.

Hmm, don’t know if I’d like that though ;/I did just find out that the old version of HL2 handles this map much better for me than the new. I might just use that, as save files load back and forth between the two patches :wink:

IS it possible to fall down the stairs on the end of this map and not get hurt at the load of the next map?

nice run max. 11s for c17_11, that’s enough I guess :PChomp, these cvars fix the objects problem.r_screenfademaxsize "0"r_screenfademinsize "0"I have dx7 config that tweaked everything down, but I still get horrible fps in c17_12. my doxliy’s fix has everything set to high, but it gives me way better fps :confused:

Wow, you hit the mark again suga, nice job. Technically this is going as 11s in the times table for the same reason it was going in as 12s for me, so we’ll have a nice c17_11, time: 11, time saved: 11 :stuck_out_tongue:
