are you just assuming it’s possible because HL2DQ did it or have you auctully done it? because the way HL2DQ clipped through the gaurd is not the same way we do it, and I don’t think we can do it how they did it… well atleast I can’t figure it out.
As I said before, I overwrote the demo. It is possible to keep some of your speed, and to do it, you have to land right infront of the guard and use ladderspeeding script to get trough while you still have some speed. Altought I couldnt replicate it by myself, so it might take some time until we will manage it. Keep in mind, that you cannot keep all the velocity you have.
Then that makes me think, what would be faster?
If we walk through him normally as we do, we could strafe (using A + W or W + D) to get a fast ABH started up while walking through him, but we do lose the velocity we had before.
Or we can continue ABHing through, lose some velocity, but then pick it back up as we make our way to the double doors.
Obviously, we need to compare it, so I guess the priority right now is getting a demo of us successfully doing it. Trying to move on with what we already have isn’t what I’m wanting to do. Like Igge said, let’s take our time with this, and make it perfect.
