Since this is from where the 100% idea started, I merged the topics. the posts got sorted after time posted so its a bit messy. and you have to edit the first post.
So how far exactly is this run?
I think Office Complex
you think wrong… we’re still in unforseen consequences, and there is a missing segment at the end of anomalous materials (exec is working on it)
So you gotta redo the entire unforseen consequences then. Nice
On A Rail 100% in 11:04
NOTE: on PS2 version you can’t push the missile’s button through the wall so I discovered another trick for don’t wait the missile
I started with 40 armor and full health because the last grenade-boost at power up must be replaced to the tripmine trick that doesn’t lose you health
enjoy!
You’ll have to do the run all over again.
no, we’re using sample save which is totaly legit according to quad. As long as we start the segment with exact same position, health, power, weapons, ammo and orientation than at the end of other segment, it doesn’t matter if they’re not really following.
You can, but it’s the last ditch. It’ll never end up as good as if you did it in the correct order.
If you were able to do that, I wouldn’t be suprised if you won a lottery ticket that day.
why? making them match is the easiest part, actually getting good times on segments is way harder than that.
Its mostly possible to make it smooth and nice. I lost a save during my op4 project. Which is a good example.
@ 1:32 there is a loading zone to a new map. I lost my save on that map. And I obviously didnt want to redo that perfect segment.
So what I did was creating a new save at the door (1:30/1:31) fitting the demo I had before. So I made a small segment from the first door to the loading between the doors (like 1,5s long). So I got a new save on the new map. And all demos lined up nicely and correct. I dont think anyone would know if I wouldnt say it.
that’s exactly what I had in mind
also you were right, I didnt notice anything after 20+ times I watch, and I would never have notcied anything if you didnt say so. But now that you said it everytime I’ll watch through that segment I’ll try to see the difference therefore not enjoy the part D’:
Going through a doorway is not much to enjoy anyway :>
How is this going? Pretty prolix it seems. You guys should do Opposing Force 100%. It’s more suitable and a more realistic project than Half-Life.
Because for some reason the military grunts don’t shoot at you. Never understood why that was.
/troll.
I think they’re making a segment overcomplicated.
Split it up.
So the current segment requires you to jump out of the test chamber, without the vortigaunts seeing you and therefore moving and turning? Why is it so bad that they move? As long as they don’t despawn you should be allright.
At 0:19 there is that special jump
This segment is not the final version, we'll try to improve it.
Ok
we’ve stopped (or at least gocnak stopped and I had no choice but to wait for him since competitive spirit is the best thing to have when making segments) for a few weeks because of finals, but we should catch up by making 1-2 segments a day when the exams are over.
